The Ekiti State University Medical Students' Association is the recognized representative body for every student pursuing the MBBS degree at Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti. Its members are known as EKSUMSAites.

EKSUMSA was established on 15 April 2014 with a single purpose: to unite, represent, and empower medical students at Ekiti State University. For over a decade it has grown into a cornerstone of student engagement, advocacy, and development within the College of Medicine.
It is a dynamic platform that fosters collaboration among students, faculty, and healthcare institutions, bridging the gap between medical education and real-world impact.

Our vision is to be a leading medical student association in Nigeria, recognized for nurturing academically sound, ethically grounded, future medical professionals. Under current leadership we continue to invest in sports, academics, and capacity building, fostering an environment where medical students can thrive and prepare to make meaningful contributions to healthcare.

Key dates in the history of the Association.Founding of the Association
EKSUMSA is established to unite, represent and empower medical students of Ekiti State University. The first election is held in September 2014.
Tenth anniversary
The Association marks ten years with a three-day programme including a symposium, an alumni panel and a luncheon.
Constitutional review
The Senate completes a review of the Constitution, and the first printed edition is published.
First interhouse sports competition
Health Week 2025 introduces a house system and the Association's first interhouse sports competition.
EKSUMSA Health Insurance Scheme
The Association's pioneer health insurance scheme for members commences.
Financial reporting
The Association publishes its first quarterly financial report to members.
NiMSA Southwest Regional Convention
EKSUMSA hosts the 2026 Regional Convention, The Ekiti Experience '26, in Ado-Ekiti.

Awarded to EKSUMSA by the Nigerian Medical Students' Association, alongside Most Performing MSA President of the Year for Oluwafunmi Benjamin.
Host of the NiMSA Southwest Convention
Appointed by the NiMSA Southwest Regional Executive Council to host the 2026 Regional Convention.
₦50 million federal innovation grant
Oladipo Daniel (400 Level) was awarded a ₦50 million Federal Government grant.
EKSU Inter-Faculty Debate champion
Idowu Ayotomiwa became the first College of Medicine student to win the EKSU Alumni Inter-Faculty Debate Competition.
Cohere Labs Catalyst Grant
The Tech Savvy Club received more than ₦1.3 million in AI compute to support student projects in learning, research and healthcare.
2nd place, NiMSA Preliminary Quiz
The Quiz, Debate and Literary clubs represented EKSUMSA at the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo.
