EKSUMSA hosts the NiMSA Southwest Regional Convention.
The Association has been appointed host of the 2026 NiMSA Southwest Regional Convention, The Ekiti Experience '26. Delegates from medical students' associations across the Southwest will convene in Ado-Ekiti for academic sessions, competitions, cultural events and the business of the region.

Conferred on EKSUMSA by the Nigerian Medical Students' Association. The Executive President, Oluwafunmi Benjamin, received the award for Most Performing MSA President of the Year.

Appointed by the NiMSA Southwest Regional Executive Council to host the 2026 Regional Convention.
Federal Government innovation grant
Oladipo Daniel (400 Level) was awarded a ₦50 million Federal Government grant.

Idowu Ayotomiwa became the first College of Medicine student to win the competition.
Service to the community.
Through the Health Awareness Club and the local chapters of NiMSA's standing committees and technical offices, the Association conducts health education, screening and advocacy programmes in schools, places of worship and communities across Ekiti State.
Support through every professional examination.
The Academic Directorate provides tutorials, mock professional examinations, case-based learning and intra-collegiate competitions. Student research is supported by the Journal Club and published through the EKSUMED Journal.
The voice of medical students.
EKSUMSA represents its members before the College of Medicine, the University and the Nigerian Medical Students' Association, and maintains working relationships with teaching hospitals, professional bodies and partner institutions.
The wellbeing of every member.
The Welfare Directorate operates a help desk and oversees the EKSUMSA Health Insurance Scheme. The Sports Directorate organises the EKSUMSA League, inter-school fixtures and fitness programmes open to all members.
